7 Tips For a Cheaper Florida Vacation

A vacation in Florida can be an expensive affair but there are ways to make it cheaper. Below are tips to making your vacation cheaper.

1. Stay in a Motel rather, last minute air deals, than a hotel. Motels are often much cheaper and offer the same cleanliness and comfort as some of the hotels. Most will still have heated swimming pools and the majority will have air conditioned rooms.

2. Leave it to the last minute. Tis might sound like a bit of a gamble but it is much cheaper to book your vacation on the last minute. In fact don't even bother to make a reservation! Cruise around town looking for deals on the hundreds of motels on offer. You won't have to pay travel agency fees or booking fees, you will get the room cheaper if you just turn up and ask for a room.

3. Get your park tickets in advance. Unlike the motels, the park tickets are cheaper if you reserve them in advance. Some of the theme parks offer huge discounts if you buy on line before hand. Some even allow you to jump the lines!

4. Fly into Sanford. Sanford is a much smaller airport than Orlando international and it is often much cheaper to reserve flights there. It is only a 40 minute drive from Orlando and because people just can't be bothered it isn't as popular. It is much much faster to get from the aircraft to your hire car!

5. Don't eat out all the time. Yes I know you are on vacation but you can still have a BBQ in the sun right? Most of Florida's parks have BBQ grill setups all over the place and you can buy the meat from Wall mart. Every body loves a BBQ and it will save you dollars.

6. Go out of season. Check when the UK school vacations are as this is when Florida is jam packed and at its peak. By going out of season it won't take you as long to get round the theme parks. You may only need 3 days in disney rather than 5. This saving will add up quickly over all the theme parks.

7. Grab the guide books and leaflets. The cheap looking guide books and leaflets are your friends! These tacky, cheap looking booklets are loaded with special offers and coupons. Grab as many as you can and use them to your full advantage.

Florida is a gorgeous place to visit but it can be an expensive vacation. Use your wits and think out of the box and you can get some great discounts.
